In 2019, a talented group of alumni from Bridgewater-Raritan High School decided to put on a summer production of Godspell—thus, The Ninety-Nine Cent Players were born!

Founded on a mixture of low-budget necessity and passionate, creative scrappiness, that production opened to local acclaim, and tickets quickly sold out.

After a pandemic pause, The Ninety-Nine Cent Players returned in the summer of 2023 with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, which played a sold-out run at the Martinsville Community Center.
